Thermo Tech Windows Reviews
Thermo Tech manufactures a number of vinyl window series and a single patio door. Their windows include the Slimline (entry level), Classic (new construction), Thermo-Fit (upgraded replacement) and their Energy Guard High Performance (premium vinyl window). In terms of ratings, let’s highlight their Energy Guard in the double hung.
Homeowners can expect a U-value of 0.19, air infiltration rating of .03, solar heat gain coefficient of 0.16, r value of 3.85, condensation resistance of 70, and visible light of 0.47. These are very impressive numbers. For additional information, check out what these window ratings mean here.
Thermo Tech Windows Warranty
The company provides a limited lifetime warranty that covers the frame, sash, components, and all hardware. Specifically, that they are defect free from any and all manufacturing defects. In addition, the insulated glass unit carries a 20 year warranty and exterior laminates are warranted for just 10 Years. From what I can tell, this warranty cannot be transferred to a subsequent owner.

Energy Guard Series Price Quote
Bill, I’ve collected 5 quotes at your behest on 20 windows, most of them double hungs. The final two are these: Energy Guard Series at $18.5K on their premium window and the Wincore 7700 series at $16.8K. I wondered what you thought the better play was between these two.

Donald, for me, the better play here is the Thermo Tech, makes a nice window, especially in the Energy Guard. In addition, I think it offers the better value over the Wincore 7700 option.
