Vista Windows Reviews

I’m in Central Ohio and recently receive a contractor estimate for Vinylmax’s Easton line, double pane – the quote was for $7800 for 20 double hungs ($10, 800 for 24 triple pane windows). The contractor felt a little sleazy to me and kept pushing the idea that I would eventually get the energy rebate, but it sort of struck me as a ploy to charge me more. The quote for Vista was $200 more for the job. In the end, I decided on the Vista Windows who operate out of Warren in Ohio.

When I compared the two windows next to one another, the Vista felt more sturdy and solid. Furthermore, their manufacturing process seemed very streamlined, whereas others seemed more like batch assembly. The Vista windows also included spuer-spacers, while the Vinylmax used intercept.

The Vista, Simonton 5500a> and Vinylmax all seemed relatively similar in both construction and quality – all solid mid grade options. In the end, I just felt better about the Vista product and their installers.

Vista vs HiMark & Simonton

Himark makes one of the best vinyl window on the market. I sell Himark (Okna) as well as Vista, but I don’t sell a ton of the Vista because even their high end model is still just a mid range vinyl window. Which is not to say there isn’t a market for this, but most of my clients tend to go with the higher end vinyl or fiberglass window models (we also carry the Marvin Infinity).

While the top end Vista line the Panorama is comparable to say a Simonton 5300 Series, it really can’t touch the HiMark 400DX or 800DX lines.

Vista Windows Reviews

I am in the process of replacing a large number of windows in my new property. Bassically, I need twenty four windows of which fourteen are horizontal sliders, two are picture windows, two are fixed frames and six are casements. Ideally I want colonial grids with white inside and black or bronze on the exterior.

As I have just purchased the property, I obviously don’t want to pay a fortune on windows right now. Andersens came in at $37,000 and then with discounts was $26,000. As well, I also got quotes from Vista Windows for $13,500, Atrium 8700 series for $11,600 and Polaris Ultraweld for $14,400. Are any of these decent windows? I am really not sure which to go with.

I wouldn’t even look at the Atrium or Vista if I were you. You can’t go wrong with the Polaris Ultra, they are great windows. Michael – Installer – from 2022
