PowerHRG Windows has been in the window and door business since 1995, making them a relative new company when compared to a Pella or Andersen Windows etc. However, PowerHRG is an installation company, not an actual manufacturer. In addition to windows and doors, the company also offers vinyl siding and replacement roofing. Browse below for our PowerHRG windows reviews.

PowerHRG Windows Reviews
PowerHRG sells two window options, including a Northeast Building Products series and Pella Symphony series. I think it’s safe to say that these are not the best vinyl windows on the market. However, they are quality mid-range vinyl windows that will serve homeowners well when they are combined with quality installation. Consumers can choose a number of different window styles, which include casements, awnings, double-hungs, horizontal sliders, bay windows, bow windows, and several options of sliding patio doors.
Power HRG is available in many metro markets in the mid west, south and coastal Atlantic regions. As a company, they have been expanding quite quickly and will probably continue to do so in the foreseeable future.

Window Bid Prices
Bill, thanks for hosting a very informative website! We have received two quotes (and are getting a third tomorrow) to replace about 41 windows in our 20 year old home. Apex Energy Solutions Insignia Windows: triple paned, built-in screen, open inwards for easy cleaning, solar emission coating: $54,000 (this is the price for our being a promotion home)
Window Universe Signature Elite: triple-paned, built-in screen, and (we think) solar emission coatings: $36,000 Obviously, a huge difference. Any thoughts on this? We’d like energy efficient windows that won’t break, are easy to clean, and offer some lighting/heating/sound reduction benefits. However, we won’t be in this house for more than 10-15 years so we don’t need the highest quality.
Final question: if Window Universe is a good choice, should we try to go for the Sequoia Select? Have you head of Power HRG – considering a bid from those guys as well.

Darren, I hear mixed reviews on Window Universe to be honest. Mostly about how they sub out the installation, which I really don’t love (unless nothing goes wrong, then it doesn’t matter). Truthfully, the Apex bid seems a bit high to me on the face of it…I think you need one or two more bids to tell us if that’s true or not. Yes, they are painful, but I think that’s put this into proper perspective.
The Signature Elite is a good window, but it’s not as good as the Apex (which is now selling the Champion vinyl window in many cases). Therefore, I don’t think you need to go up to the Sequoia Select if you do end up going with Window Universe…with your timeline (which I just saw) I’m leaning toward the Window Universe (but I still don’t like how they do their installs).
Finally, I say get the bid from PowerHRG as one of your extra bids and see what they come in with…can’t hurt. Have you had a chance to look into our PowerHRG windows reviews page – good place to start.
