New South Company Information
New South Windows sells directly to the consumer, which is a similar approach as Apex Windows (although Apex is more door-to-door). The iVantage is a hurricane impact window, while the eVantage is a replacement window. NSW markets through windows in much the same way as Renewal By Andersen does – using local print and tv ads, as well as mailers.
The company’s overall sales and marketing formula has proved successful and the company is definitely in a growth phase across their main metro target markets. NSW has been in business since 2010, making it a relatively newcomer to the window and door industry.
New South Windows Warranty
NSW provides a lifetime warranty on their windows that they be free from any manufacturing defects. They also cover the labor costs to replace the window (again only for manufacturing defects). The company does not mention the warranty is able to transferred, which I take to mean that you cannot transfer the warranty to a second owner.
New South vs Renewal
Hi Bill: looking to replace 22 year old windows and screens. We have 5 single windows and 3 double windows. Saw the prices and sales tactics for Renewal by Andersen. Not going with them. You seemed to be hesitant about New South Windows. So I’d love to see who you recommend. Thanks.

Eileen, here are my recommendations. I’m hesitant about New South to the extent that I don’t know enough about them to give the company a thumbs up yet – definitely worth a bid though!

New South Windows Prices
New South pricing should range from say $650 to $850 fully installed for a normal sized double hung window with insert installation. Add $150 to $200 for the labor cost to install full frame windows (a more complicated process).
Overall, this basic price point puts NSW right in the middle of overall range of vinyl window pricing. So, not as expensive as Renewal By Andersen prices, but more than American Craftsman window costs.
New South Windows Complaints
My wife and I had a less than ideal interaction with the company. The sales guy basically gave us the hard sell – even after we took your advice and told him that we planned to get 5 different bids before we came to a conclusion on who to give with. Ironically, we liked their windows and how the company presents themselves. Maybe we just got a bad apple. I had looked around for new south windows reviews on some other sites and found they generally get good reviews (which is why I called them in the first place).
