Install America is based out of Pennsylvania and the company has been in the window and door space since the mid 1950s. In addition to remodeling windows and doors, Install America also provides siding, decks, bathrooms, kitchens, and roofing. The company makes their own windows, although their website(s) provide very little information on the mainframe, insulated glass unit, components, hardware, etc. Nor is the company’s products listed on the NFRC website, which lists all major window manufacturers. Company Rating: 6.5 out of 10
Overall Price Point: 6.5 out of 10
Bottom Line: I’m not yet sold on Install America. I think there are better options out there.

Install America Reviews
Install America is available the following states (although probably only in the larger metro markets) South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New Jersey. Online reviews and ratings for Install America is a bit all over the board, which gives me pause.
Some review sites have them rated fairly high, while others have quite low ratings on the company. Therefore, it’s tough to “land” on a consensus. Certainly, part of the reason for this is that they provide so many different home improvement services. I’m still not sure about their window and door installation services.
Need Professional Advice
Hello, I came across your website recently and found some really helpful information. If you have the time, I’d really appreciate some advice/feedback. Our house was built in 1997 and we moved in in 2019. The windows I believe are original (wood – most the estimators mentioned they’re builder wood). We have 30 windows total, 29 double-hung and 1 picture window.
I’ve seen quotes from all over the place – $600 (vinyl from Install America) to almost $4000 (Andersen fibrex) per window. I’m trying to stay somewhere in the 20k to 25k (or even better if possible) for the whole house. So far, the most feasible estimates have been from Window World (4000 series) and Visionaire windows (Aspect ap500). I believe both have pretty much the same glass features (low-e, argon-filled — I think)
Window World quoted – 16 windows – $10.2k (4000 Series)
Visionaire quote – 12 windows – $12.4k (Provia Aspect AP500) and $14.1k (Simonton ComfortSmart with Rigidcore and Smartcore)
The Visionaire windows quotes both included 5 tempered windows because we asked for it on the first floor, I don’t think WW included tempered but I’m sure they would add it.
Some of the requirements: We are next to a road so at least 4 windows with good sound “control” – Leaning toward vinyl – We probably won’t live here for more than 6-7 years. We’re leaning toward Simonton, but the representative said the Aspect is a good bang-for-buck window but doesn’t have the “foam and steel” internal components in the frame — I don’t remember exactly what he said.
Anyway, sorry for the long-winded email, but let me know if you’re able to steer me in the right direction. Really appreciate what you do.

PJ, if you’re not going to live in the home for more than 6 to 7 years, I would not spend a ton of money. I think you are probably correct to toss out the Install America quote as it a bit low for your project and I might be a bit wary of that. (You should check out our Install America reviews page though to see how other consumers think about this option.)
Now, having said that, for me the best of those windows is the Provia Aspect AP500. The ComfortSmart reinforcement in the lift rail and foam core are nice upgrades, but the overall build for me of the Aspect is better than the ComfortSmart (although truth be told I have not seen the ComfortSmart in quite some time).
At the end of the day, I would say go with the ProVia Aspect – I think it’s worth the extra money over the Window World 4000 because when you do sell the house, you can at least say you’ve recently upgraded the windows with a quality brand over a Window World.
