Window Source Reviews

The Window Source has been around since 1975 (if you count the very early iterations of the company) and is based out of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The specialize in installing vinyl windows and patio doors. The company tends to target more of a budget minded consumer, although they do sell a quality product made by Great Lakes. Company Rating: 6.5 out of 10

Price Point: 7.0 out of 10

Bottom Line: I like the Great Lakes brand, so yes, I think worth a bid. However, there are a lot of great window options in Pennsylvania.

Window Source Reviews

Window Source is an installation company only, much like American Vision or New South (click to read our New South Windows Reviews here). Many of their branches sell Great Lakes windows and doors. Generally, Great Lakes manufactures a quality window brand, although it wouldn’t make my list of the best brands out there.

Window Source has tons of locations across the mid west, south, Atlantic coast states and in the northeast. In addition, they have one location in California and one in Colorado. So, are they worth a bid – I think they are!

Window Source vs Okna

Please compare window source 9000 vs Okna 600 Pro Delux Windows. My question is this, what is the better window? Cost is the same, both companies have excellent google reviews.

Window Source 9000 Series

I live in the Indianapolis area and have spoken and have received quotes from a few window replacement companies. Mainly, I was impressed with window source of Indy. Window Source 9000 slider windows made by Great Lakes Window, Toledo Ohio. Windows warranty on materials, labor and service calls cost negotiated with local franchise window source owner.

What is your opinion on window source 9000 series, which is their highest rated window. Price $8000 on 10 windows. The owner physically installs the windows. 3-4 full time employees.

Other companies have provided lifetime parts and labor warranties on their product, Universal Windows Direct, bee window. However, their cost is 2x the cost of window source. Thank you for your window source reviews, opinions and recommendations.

Ken, Great Lakes makes a very good window. The 9000 series is a quality slider in my opinion. In general, Window Source of Indy gets excellent reviews. However, price does seem high, but obviously you’ve already collected bids from Universal Windows Direct and Bee – and their prices were considerably higher. So, it leads me to believe that this is a strong move on your part to move forward with the Window source 9000 series.
