Entry to mid range products will run $1 to $2 per square foot, which is about 25% to 30% above vinyl pricing. A popular example would include LP SmartSide, which is available in a large number of profiles, widths etc. that will affect the per square foot pricing.

Mid To High End Products
Mid to high end products run $2 to $3 per square foot. Popular products in this price point include Catawba and TruWood. One of the big factors that will affect pricing is whether the boards are pre-primed and/or pre-finished and are ready to install. If they aren’t, homeowners will be paying a lower material cost, but will pay the contractor or sub to prime and/or paint them onsite.

All projects will require additional materials such as nails, housewrap, inside and outside corners, j channels, soffits and any other finish or trim pieces that are required to make a professional looking project.
