Read Serious Windows reviews from contractors and consumers who have used their window models in the past and can speak to their quality, service and price. Serious Energy is no longer making replacement windows – they were sold to Alpen High Performance Products in 2012.
Company Rating: 7.5 out of 10
Overall Price Point: 8.5 out of 10
Bottom Line: Serious is no longer in business. Best to find a handful of price bids from quality local companies.

California Replacement Windows
Hello, I just viewed your Window World review which was very helpful. I would like to request your recommended window list as offered on your YouTube site. Also, do you have any additional information about the manufacturers that Window World locations use for their 4000 series double-hung replacement windows? W used to have Serious windows, but they went out of business.

Editor Response
David, my understanding is that many of the WW branches sell the Alside Mezzo (or a very similar window made for WW) as their mid range 4000 series. However, many WW branches have moved to Simonton, which would probably mean a Reflections 5100 series (again, or a window series very similar made specifically for WW). These are both “decent” windows, but wouldn’t be in my top 40 window options out there. I would suggest collecting more bids and then let’s see what you come up with and go from there!

Serious vs. Inline
What I have found is that Serious and Inline are almost identical. The frames are so similar and I believe that Serious actually get the pultrusions directly from Inline. Serious doesn’t sell a tilt and turn window, while Inline does.
The IGU offered by Serious is a little confusing and I think if you removed the film you would be left with an Inline window, so paying extra for that wouldn’t be worth it. Before pulling the trigger on these, read more serious windows reviews online and see what others think.
