Our Ideal Windows reviews (updated in 2024) can help homeowners form a better understanding of the company’s quality and pricing on their Platinum 3000, Majestic, Professional, and Perfect Fit window series.
Ideal is located or headquartered in New Jersey and has been in the fenestration business since the 1920s. For the most part, Ideal Windows maintains a very good reputation as a high quality window brand for windows and doors.

Ideal Windows Reviews
Ideal Windows is not a well known company, although they are well respected by many industry insiders. The company manufactures a number of high quality vinyl windows. The Platinum 3000 and Majestic series are their two most popular series, and ironically, not listed on their website. Instead, the company only sells these using local window dealers, who then sell them to retail customers.
The two options are considered higher end than the two options on their website – the Professional and Perfect Fit. As is common in the window business, Ideal sells their windows and doors through local window dealers across nearly 20 states in the (mostly) northeastern United States.
Ideal Windows Warranty
Ideal offers a limited lifetime warranty (to be free from manufacturing defects) on the vinyl frame, all moving parts, and screen frame. As well, this same term applies to their bay and bow windows. Ideal warrants their insulated glass units for 20 years. Ideal warrants their two tone vinyl for 20 years. The warranty is transferable to one additional owner (the title transfer must be sent to Ideal within 30 of title transfer, along with a check for $50. Please note: the new owner will be covered for 10 years only.
Ideal Window Rating
I would give Ideal Windows And Doors a rating of 8.0 out of 10. In addition, I’ll give their warranty a 7.0 out of 10.
Ideal Windows Cost
Ideal windows prices can running anywhere from $650 to $950 per window fully installed. In order to insure fair pricing, our advice is to collect three to four local bids in order to get a good sense of your project’s fair market price.
Professional Series Cost $650 to $800
Perfect Fit Cost $700 to $850
Platinum 3000 Cost $750 to $900
Majestic Series Cost $800 to $950
Triple Pane Cost
We recently bought new windows and after gathering a number of bids per your advice (they were all over the board, just as you said they might be), we went with the Majestic series. Incidentally, we live in Norther Virginia. Our project has 11 windows – the cost to upgrade from Energy Green or Energy Elite was $500.
In addition, the triple pane cost upgrade would be another $1500. Do you think this is a reasonable price tag? Thank you so much for your ideal windows reviews and advice – helpful to say the least.

[Site Editor’s Answer]
Pat, those prices are very standard in the industry so the price is right on both. Basically, you are looking at $50 per for a better low-e glass and $150 per for triple pane. Therefore, I would say go with the low-e upgrade, but you don’t have to do the triple pane upgrade. To be honest, I don’t think the overall temperature is cold enough in northern Virginia to warrant the triple.
