Crystal Pacific is more of a builder grade window and door manufacturer – meaning they focus on projects that use a lower price point window. These types of windows are often used on larger projects where builders want to keep costs low. Builder grade windows tend to have issues in the second decade of their lives.

The company sells a handful of residential vinyl windows series, including the Valencia, Vista, Vista Plus, and Greenhouse. On the door front, they sell the Valencia and Buena Vista series.

Replacement Windows In Oregon

Hi Bill, I had a salesperson come give me a quote for replacing my existing windows with Preservation 9000 series windows. Specifically, my house includes 9 double hung windows, 4 sliders, and 3 pocket windows for $27,500. My sliding glass door would be an extra $3500. Please not, this price includes the installation.

I had reached out to this company because it had the highest rating for wind driven rains on Consumer Reports. I live in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, and have had water intrusion issues around the windows since I moved. Truthfully, it is actually a problem throughout our neighborhood. These windows also had top grades for energy efficiency and noise abatement.

Also received a bid from a local company selling Crystal Pacific windows. Unlike the high price of the first one, their bid was considerably lower at $16, 200. That’s a biiiiig price difference. I’ve included the quotes and comparisons I was provided. Lastly, I’ll also finish filling out the online form and am waiting to see what that yields.

Kevin, sorry for the delay, busy time of the year for me. As far as I’m concerned, the Preservation Collection window is a nice unit, but often sold at a price point that seems way too high to me. I think this is the case here. Therefore, my first suggestion is to collect a few more bids – then compare the group to one another and see which option makes the most sense for your budget and timeline in the home.

Crystal Pacific is a pretty low end vinyl window that is fine if you intend to be in the home for 12 years or less. Anything over this and I would not consider this bid. However, I think the key is to gather the bids and then have a frank discussion about what makes the final two windows and which ones we should probably focus on.
