Wasco Windows Reviews

Wasco Windows is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has been in the fenestration industry since the mid 1950s. Fenestration – fancy word for windows 🙂  The company sells their windows and doors across the state of Wisconsin through local retail companies or distributors – a pretty standard approach in the industry. Wasco manufactures what they call their Premium and European vinyl window and door series. Browse below to check out our Wasco Windows reviews.

Company Rating: 7.3 out of 10

Overall Price Point: 6.5 out of 10

Bottom Line: Wasco makes good, but kinda funky looking windows, that are quite energy efficient. I have to say that like local companies like this that make quality products and have been doing it for a long time. But I wouldn’t limit myself to just Wasco either. There are quite a few Wisconsin based companies so get a few bids and send them our way as we are happy to take a look and give you our opinion(s).

Wasco Windows Reviews

Premium Window Series: The Premium Series is a pretty traditional looking vinyl window – but not one that I find all that impressive looking to be honest. It’s not bad, just kind of average. The Premium series is available in the 700 Series (horizontal sliding and double hung styles) or in the 1400 Series as a picture window or casement styles.

European Window Series: The Wasco European series is quite a bit bulkier than their Premium. (And definitely bulkier than most vinyl windows that sell in the United States.) European windows in general are quite a bit bulkier, but they provide much better energy efficiency (life is a trade off, right?). The European series comes in two basic styles – the 4500 tilt turn or the 1400 casement. It can be ordered in either a triple or double pane glass.

Vinyl vs Fiberglass Windows

How would you compare Wasco vs Marvin windows? I have bids from both; the Wasco is considerably less but they don’t seem to be the same quality either.

Jamie, that’s a tough comparison because Wasco manufactures vinyl windows, while Marvin makes some of the best fiberglass windows out there (and some very good wood clad windows as well). Marvin is certainly the better known brand and better overall quality manufacturer. But the price difference between the two options will certainly matters here. Without that information, I can’t exactly tell you which is the better option.

It’s gonna also depend on how long you plan on living in the home. If you plan to move anytime soon, then the Wasco option is the better deal. If you plan to stay there long term, then the Marvin makes way for sense. Get back to me with some more specifics and let’s get you the right window for your situation.
